Jan 30, 2022 | Growth, Self-development

Not everyone is dedicated to their growth, so if you’re reading this, good job! It means you want to grow and are willing to put in the effort each day!

Many find a satisfying and fulfilling life within their comfort zone. But that’s not the case for some people – including you! Growth-minded individuals constantly seek ways to challenge themselves physically, mentally, and socially because it gives them the confidence and self-esteem to pursue their biggest dreams.

Building a better you starts by doing small things every day.  If you’re looking for simple ways to grow as a person, here are nine activities you can start with:

  1. Read any genre of any material: Immerse yourself in autobiographies, investing books, or even romance fiction! A wide variety of reading will make you realize there’s still so much for you to learn.
  2. Shake up your exercise routine: Pilates? Weightlifting? Dance? Self-esteem is built when you grow more confident in your strength, flexibility, and endurance!

  3. Keep setting goals: Set goals for the day, the week, the month, or even for the whole year. These small goals are what will keep you working towards your dream!
  4. Put yourself out there: You grow as a person when you put yourself around people of different backgrounds.

  5. Boost your creativity: There are so many ways to express your creativity! So get a hold of your coloring materials and draw your heart out!
  6. Step out of your Instagram and Facebook: Unplugging from your phone will get you more focused on the goals you set and more mindful of the present moment.
  7. Don’t stop learning: Keep educating yourself – podcasts, Youtube channels, TED talks. There’s no limit to the number of ways you can learn!

  8. Do the challenging task: When you constantly take on the complex functions that everyone avoids, you learn a life lesson or develop a new skill that lets you improve as a person.
  9. Take feedback from anyone: It allows you to make the changes needed to improve and create better results.

Are you ready for a challenge?

Growth entails constantly stepping out of your comfort zone, even if it isn’t in your heart’s best interest. You’ll feel intrigued at taking different turns you never thought possible, and you’ll seek the thrill of expanding more as an individual. This is what growth feels like.

So are you a part of the majority afraid to face new challenges? Or are you willing to be one of the few passionate about taking up space within the most uncomfortable places? If the latter, then step up and take a challenge today!
